Keeping the Emerald City green...

Former gas stations are always a gamble for development, and Triad's NoMa Condo site is no exception. Significant pollution had flowed from the corroded tanks for decades - but through the development of the site, Triad has cleaned up the existing mess, eliminating a nasty hazard and preventing further contamination of the neighborhood. Triad will further help the environment through the inclusion of many "green" features within the project such as a green roof, low-emitting materials, stormwater management, special ventilation design and construction waste recycling.

Construction of the structure itself began in the summer of 2005 on the 6-story building, which features 90 condominium units and nearly 11,000 square feet of retail space. The site was the former home of the Ballard Eagles, a fraternal organization that has been an active member of the Ballard community for nearly 80 years. A brand new Eagles facility will anchor the storefront retail along busy 24th Avenue Northwest.

The units range in size from 450 to 1,100 square feet and feature views of the Ship Canal and the Olympic Mountains. The name NoMa was selected to represent the project's location North of Market Street, which is the heart of one of Seattle's most rapidly growing and progressive neighborhoods. Pre-sale of the units began in November 2005 and final completion is expected in early spring 2007.
